Club Penguin
This web page is all about Club Penguin which is on Clubpenguin, and also to be found at Www.club penguin.com. When I used to begin my computer time, I usually didn't have any idea what I was actually going to do. After discovering Club Penguin, I always knew where to go. Having earlier been a Neopets user, I quickly found club penguin to be preferable. One of the things I like about it is how simple it is to manipulate. All you do sign in by typing in your username (example: Bob66) and password (example: collie) and your in. When you first arrive in club penguin, you usually pop up in the town, although sometimes the club penguin people mix it up a bit. From there, basically all you do is click and type. To move, you simply click where you want to go. You can tell who you are because your penguin will have a blue circle around him/herself. To talk, you click on the oval shaped speech box at the bottom, and type away. In the bottom left corner, there is a button that says, 'map'. if you click on it, it shows a map of Club Penguin. Some of the places you can visit include the Town, the Mountain, the Cove, the Super Ice rink and many other places! See if you can find the 6 hidden rooms. (Hint: Don't forget the Plumbing!) On the bottom of the screen, beside the speech box, there is a few buttons. Down there you can find a button to get to your igloo, an emote icon (picture emotions) a report icon (to report any inappropriate language - Personally, I've never needed it) a messages icon (premade things to say) an actions icon (You can dance, sit or wave) and questions icon (any questions...) a snowball icon (start a snowball fight!) and my personal favorite, the buddy icon (da-da-da-daaa!) If you meet someone (by clicking on them) and you say hi, and maybe converse a little, then you may want that person as your buddie. To make another penguin your buddie, all you do is click on them. after that, a buddie icon (like the one at the bottom of your screen) will appear in the box that pops up, and if you click it, it sends a buddie invitation. If the person doesn't want to be your buddie, you'll get a letter back saying, "Bob66 says, No Thank you." If a penguin wants to be your buddie, a little envelope will appear at the top left of your screen. If you click on it, the invitation pops up! Easy, see? Also, you can get a card. If you receive a card, it will be to the right of the envelope symbol. It shows a box with a smiley face on it. If you click on it, it will show a greeting such as, "Aloha!" "Nice Puffles!" or "Will you meet Bob66 at the Cove?" It's great to know you've got a lot of Club Penguin friends, but don't forget; you can't have more than 100 buddies! In club penguin, there is a coin system. To earn coins; you play games. Some of my favorite games are Ballistic Biscuit, Puffle Roundup and Pizzatron 3000. The longer you play, the more coins you earn. With your coins, you can buy things from the sports shop (Ski Village) the Gift shop (the Town) or the Pet Shop (the Plaza) In the petshop, you can buy a puffle, a fish, or many other choices. In the Sportshop, you can buy surfboards, clothes, and other sporty items. in the gift shop, you can buy clothes, different colors to turn into, backdrops for your inventory (what pops up if you click on yourself) and (new!) wigs. Although, if you aren't a member, you can't buy most items. Some of the things i like about club penguin are making new friends, Chatting with other players and playing games. Another thing i enjoy is Rockhopper. Rockhopper is a legendary pirate penguin. He sails his ship, the Migrator, all around the world. When Rockhopper visits Club Penguin, he docks the migrator at the beach. You can tell that rockhopper is coming either by way of the newspaper, or by clicking on the telescope in the roof of the lighthouse. (Hint: Rockhopper always brings a free item on every trip, so make sure to visit the migrator when it's docked!) Another fun thing is the secret pin. Every 2 or 3 weeks, a secret pin is hidden. It is usually a random object, such as a hairbrush, a jellyfish or a teardrop. To pick it up, all you do is walk on it. A little box will appear saying, "You have found the secret pin! Do you wish to pick it up?" if you say yes, the pin will appear under your colors in your personal box. You can click on it from there, and then if someone clicks on you, the pin will be in the top left of your pop-up box. It's really fun to look for, and don't worry, it's usually an item that doesn't belong, so you wouldn't find a snowflake pin on the mountain. Personally I really like to talk to other penguins. I think it's really fun to just converse. Maybe say, "So... do you like Pop music?" "Really! Me too!" "Wanna be my buddie?" I've found that just talking is the most friend making, fun thing to do on club penguin. Well, I'll see you on Club Penguin! Having played it a lot we give this game eight stars out of 10.
